Rendering "Small" Plants in 3D Space
Řehánek, Jiří ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with a real-time low vegetation rendering in 3D space. The low vegetation means grass and shrub. At first it looks on a implementation of vegetation in a 3D games that already exist and there investigate characteristics notable while playing and after that it comes to a evaluation of visual qualities. As next will follow design of solution of this problems and description of implementation. In final part will be summary of achieved product.
Artistic Scene Visualization
Benda, Jan ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Kobrtek, Jozef (advisor)
The goal of this work is studying of selected artistic scene visualization (cell shading, pencil sketch shading) and simulate these techniques in the rendering of objects in 3D space using OpenGL. Applications of these methods is wide - from graphical application, through computer games to animated films. This work describes design and implementation of these methods: cell shading, pencil sketch shading and watercolor shading.
Digiverse Monument
Tajovský, Jakub ; Blažíček, Martin (referee) ; Resslová, Veronika (advisor)
In my diploma thesis I deal with the image on the border of digital and analog media and horizon as border of visual perception. Output is computer program, variable image, digital version of artefact. The image is the grid of pictures superimposed in horizontal strip, particular pictures we can vary for their alternatives. The image we can see from various point of view: 1. As a picture on the wall of gallery, 2. from the space behind the canvas, from where is able to contol it with cursor, 3. on the internet, as video stream.
Innovation of digital image processing exercises
Honkyš, Jan ; Záviška, Pavel (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with innovation of lectures in the field of image processing. The innovation consists in the preparation of instructions for individual exercises in alternative programs, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended is now used in exercises. The first chapter deals with color models, spaces, color management and bitmap file formats. The second chapter introduces alternative bitmap editors – Adobe Photoshop CC 2021, GIMP, Affinity Photo, Zoner Photo Studio X, Corel PaintShop Pro 2022. Then they are compared according to several criteria, the cost for the school and students is considered and a selection of programs suitable for teaching image processing is made. In the next chapters, instructions for individual exercises are made in selected programs and an evaluation of the suitability of these programs for teaching is performed.
3D model of selected object
Barancová, Simona ; Viktorová, Stanislava (referee) ; Bartoněk, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is creation of 3D model by a selected program. In the introduction of the thesis is a brief description of chosen object – St. Václav's temple in Brno. Next follows preparation works before measuring, creating of measuring net by GNSS and measuring of object by tachymetric method. In the following chapters is briefly described 2D and 3D computer graphic and program AutoCAD Civil 3D, which was used for create resulting model of the object.
Edges of Cedar Grove
Luksch, Vojtěch ; Maixner, Miroslav (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
In my diploma, I focus on painting landscapes from the virtual environment of computer games from the turn of the millennium, which with their imperfect graphics are reminiscent of modernist approaches in painting at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. I try to capture the absurd digital visuality of nature, such as angular hills, trees or bushes, in such a way that the image creates the impression or at least evokes the feeling of a modernist work. At the same time, thanks to the relatively free movement in the game landscapes, the paintings become a kind of virtual plein air, where I find motifs and compositions for painting.

Educational support for postproduction of digital photography in metaformat RAW
Hájek, Petr ; Procházka, Josef (advisor) ; Rambousek, Vladimír (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce metaformat RAW used in digital photography to readers. Possibilities in photo postproduction while sustaining the maximum quality of the finalised photo have been demonstrated here. As well as time effectiveness of the actual conversion. A part of this thesis is also comparison of several programs there are available for viewing and conversion of RAW metaformat. The chief output of the thesis is educational web page which is presenting RAW format conversion practises in easily accessible way. Users can download source files available on this web page and practically test the described methods of conversion.
Visual manipulations not only in Art - Art Education and contemporary Medium
Culková, Lucie ; Šmíd, Jan (advisor) ; Kitzbergerová, Leonora (referee)
Bachelor thesis Visual manipulations not only in art - art education and contemporary medium Lucie Culková, april 2012 Abstract This bachelor thesis is a theoretical study on visual manipulation. Study briefly describes the development of classical and digital photography and concentrates on the possibilities of editing in both types of pictures. Individual photographic manipulation techniques are described here using examples in context of today's world. Study further describes the utilization of manipulating photographs in the media and in the works of known domestic and international artists. Findings from the theoretical study are used as a basis for the pedagogical part of the work, which contains several themes for art classes on elementary school. Practical part features set of photographic manipulations, which uses techniques of image manipulation mentioned in the theoretical study. It also features project, which describes the image manipulation on advertisement covers used for food packing. The goal of this study is to introduce individual methods of image manipulation in different areas of human work.
Realistic hair rendering in Autodesk Maya
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorba, Jiří (referee)
This thesis describes a real-time hair rendering in 3D animation and modeling software Autodesk Maya. The renderer is part of the Stubble project a - Maya plug-in for hair modeling. The presented renderer provides a high-quality interactive preview that allows fast hair modeling without the need for rendering in slow off-line renderers. The goal of this work is to create a renderer that can generate images in real-time that are as close as possible to the output of the 3Delight renderer - a plug-in for Maya that is based on RenderMan standards.
